Atlanta, Seattle dominate 2017 top-selling MLS jerseys list
Players from just two clubs, Atlanta United FC and the Seattle Sounders, took up nearly half the spots — 11 of 25 — among the top 25 most sold MLS jerseys in 2017. Five Atlanta players and six Sounders cracked the top 25.
Atlanta was particularly well represented at the top of the list. The expansion side produced Nos. 1 (Miguel Almiron), 3 (Josef Martinez), 15 (Hector Villalba), 18 (Greg Garza) and 24 (Yamil Asad).
Seattle also littered the list with Nos. 4 (Jordan Morris), 6 (Clint Dempsey), 10 (Nicolas Lodeiro), 11 (Osvaldo Alonso), 20 (Roman Torres) and 22 (Cristian Roldan).
Co-honorable mention went to New York City FC and the Portland Timbers, which each had three footballers slide into the top 25. NYCFC came in at Nos. 5 (David Villa), 9 (Andrea Pirlo) and 13 (Jack Harrison). The Timbers added Nos. 12 (Diego Valeri), 16 (Darlington Nagbe) and 21 (Diego Chara).
