Lowcountry United FC bossing UPSL Mid-Atlantic Division
Seven matches into Lowcountry United FC‘s 2018 spring campaign, it’s safe to say the Charleston, S.C.-based club has been the class of the UPSL Southeast Conference Mid-Atlantic Division thus far.
A 5-1 win over Broncos United FC on Saturday moved Lowcountry’s record to an unscathed 7-0-0 (21 points). The team rests in sole possession of first place in the division, six points clear of second.
Leading-scorer Jamal Eddine bagged his second hat trick of the year and Austin Savage continued his savage-like play with a brace. The two attackers have been a handful for opposing backlines all season, making multiple-goal matches look easy by regularly stuffing scoresheets. A talented midfield and stout defense behind the two prolific scorers have helped United earn plenty of results as well.
Dominant play has been a theme for Lowcountry this season, with the men in orange and black having netted three times as many goals as they’ve surrendered. They’ve scored 24 times already, good for a goals per game average north of three, while conceding only a total of eight.
Lowcountry United FC will hope to keep its insane run of form alive Saturday away to FC Cardinals. The hosts, based in Winston-Salem, N.C., might be in for a long evening. The previous time the two clubs met, United administered a 9-2 thrashing on March 10. The Cardinals are sitting on zero points after going winless in their first six games.
The match will be streamed live at MyCujoo.tv at 5 p.m. ET on Saturday.
